ODD is defined as a recurrent pattern of developmentally inappropriate, negativistic, defiant, and disobedient behavior toward authority figures. Children with ODD feel as though their behavior is fine, however there is unfair demands being placed on them ODD can be seen in preschool years and is typically noticed by age eight, but in some cases might present in the early teen years.
2% to 16% of children and adolescents have ODD.
