If your child is struggling in school it may be time for a comprehensive evaluation.
We can help you identify the problem and get your child on the right track.
This diagnosis consists of a group of developmental brain conditions that fall under the collective name autism spectrum disorder (ASD). This includes classic autism, Asperger syndrome, pervasive developmental disorder, Rett syndrome, and childhood disintegrative disorder. The term “spectrum” indicates the wide range of symptoms, skills, and impairment levels that an autistic child can have, making each autistic individual unique in their own ways. Some children even have exceptional musical and academic abilities. This ranges from mild to severe symptoms.
A survey by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) found that in 2008, the rate of ASD was higher than in past U.S. studies, around 1 in 88 children. Additionally, males face about four to five times higher risk than females.
